The Cabinet Secretary assured Mr. Ruiqin Li that the government will protect and grow local industry. She made the following remarks, “I am very encouraged that Keda Ceramics is producing world class tiles at a very affordable price. This is the way to go to encour-age manufacturing in the country. The government supports such initiatives and it regularly putting in place the right policies to make sure that we can support such companies. My call to us is that these products are readily available in Kenya right now and nobody un-dertaking construction work needs to factor in importa-tion when we have products here that have been made by ourselves and it is of great quality”.
